Wheels, Brakes & Interior
Stance and stopping power are part of a complete build. Defiant 4x4 mounts wheels and tires, sets up beadlocks, installs big brake packages, and fits seats and harnesses so your Jeep looks right and works harder when the trail gets steep.

Wheels, tires, and beadlocks
Wheel backspacing, diameter, and tire choice affect scrub, steering effort, and gearing needs. We help spec packages that clear your fenders and suspension, and we install beadlock setups for drivers who air down and need the tire to stay on the wheel when the sidewall gets soft.
Big brake upgrades
Larger tires add rotating mass. Big brake upgrades restore confidence on highway descents and after trail runs back toward Chicago traffic. We install brake packages matched to your hubs, wheels, and how aggressive the rest of the build is.
Seats and harnesses
Aftermarket seats and harnesses keep you planted when the Jeep articulates. We install seats and harness systems with attention to mounting points, cage compatibility, and street legality considerations for your use case.
Fitment for Chicagoland builds
Whether you need a clean wheel-and-tire refresh or a full beadlock and brake package for a trail Jeep based in Hodgkins, we treat fitment as part of the whole vehicle — not an isolated catalog sale.
How it works
From first call to finished install.
- 01
Measure and spec
Tire height, wheel width, brake clearance, and seat/cage compatibility get checked before parts are ordered or installed.
- 02
Mount, balance, and install
Wheels and tires are mounted correctly; beadlocks and brakes are installed to torque specs; seats and harnesses are secured to solid points.
- 03
Road and function check
We verify clearances, pedal feel, and that nothing rubs through a full steer and articulation cycle in the shop.
FAQ
Common questions about wheels, brakes & interior.
Do you mount and balance oversized off-road tires?
Yes. We handle wheel and tire packages for Jeeps and trucks, including aggressive mud-terrain sizes common on lifted builds.
Are beadlocks streetable?
It depends on the beadlock design and local regulations. We will discuss options that match your trail needs and how much street driving you do.
Should I upgrade brakes when I go to larger tires?
Often recommended. More tire mass means more work for the brake system — especially if you tow or drive mountain grades on trips out of Illinois.
