Armor & Exterior
Trails punish sheet metal and soft underbodies. Defiant 4x4 installs roll cages, skid plates, body armor, fenders, and lighting so your Jeep can take hits and still make it home — whether you wheel locally or haul out of Illinois for bigger trips.

Roll cages and cabin protection
Exo and internal cage work is about more than looks. We install cage systems that fit your Jeep platform and use case — trail insurance for flips and tip-ups, plus mounting points for lights and accessories when the design calls for it.
Skids, armor, and fenders
Skid plates protect oil pans, transfer cases, and fuel tanks when rocks rise faster than you planned. Body armor, rockers, and aftermarket fenders with liners clear larger tires and shed mud. We fit parts that match your suspension height and tire package so coverage and clearance work together.
Auxiliary lighting for night runs
Auxiliary lighting turns a dark two-track into a usable trail. We install light bars, ditch lights, and bumper pods with clean wiring, relays, and switches — not dangling harnesses that fail after the first wet weekend.
Exterior upgrades near Chicago
From Hodgkins to the wider Chicagoland area, Jeep owners come to Defiant for armor and exterior work that is installed correctly the first time — cages, skids, fenders, and lighting ready for real trail use.

FAQ
Common questions about armor & exterior.
Do you install full exo cages?
Yes. We install roll cage and exo-cage systems suited to your Jeep platform and intended use. Bring photos or a parts list if you already have a kit in mind.
Can armor be added after a lift?
Often yes — and sometimes it should be. Larger tires and more articulation put underbody components closer to trail hazards.
Do you wire auxiliary lights?
Yes. Clean auxiliary lighting installs with proper switches, relays, and routing are part of our exterior work.
